How it works

There are a few factors we take into account when giving you a quote for your vehicle’s value. We start by asking you a few questions about your vehicle to help calculate a base price using the vehicle’s rough weight in conjunction with current scrap market prices.

If a vehicle is driven in, or otherwise delivered by the owner, we will be able to give you a higher quote. If we must tow the vehicle ourselves, the location of the vehicle will also help determine price.

Here is a list of questions we ask customers to help generate a quote:

  • What is the year, make, and model of the vehicle?

  • What is the trim of the vehicle? Is it a convertible, sedan, SUV, truck? 4-door, 2-door, or hatchback?

  • How many cylinders does the engine have?

  • Does the vehicle have four wheel drive?

  • Does the vehicle contain a plow package?

  • Is the vehicle complete? Are the tires and wheels installed on the vehicle? We don’t generally pick up vehicles that do not contain an engine and transmission, but this can be determined on a case by case basis.

  • Is the exhaust system on the vehicle original?

  • If we are picking the vehicle up at your location, the vehicle must be clear of other obstructions and easily accessible to a flatbed truck.

Many of these questions help us establish what the rough weight and overall value of the vehicle is to give you a more accurate quote.
