  • You have a few options here. If the car is older than 20 model years, the State of Connecticut requires a bill of sale from you (the owner/seller) to the buyer (LaJoie’s) in order to legally sell the vehicle. If the car is newer than 20 model years and the vehicle is registered to you in the State of Connecticut, you are able to fill out a lost title form in addition to a bill of sale. This would require proof of ownership of the vehicle (a registration with your name, an insurance bill, a tax bill, etc) and a valid state ID.

  • Yes, we accept CLEAN and EMPTY oil tanks. The tanks must have a hole large enough for the scale operator to inspect for cleanliness. We suggest a hole at least 2’X2’. We cannot accept an oil tank with any oil residue or build up within the tank.

  • Much like refrigerators, air conditioning units must be professionally evacuated before disposing of them at LaJoie’s. You must provide proof that the air conditioner has been evacuated or you will be subject to our refrigerant processing fee to enable us to safely dispose of the chemicals within the unit.
